Go to Recycle Bin and select all the files by

the disk space, you can run the inbuilt tool, disk cleanup to remove the
temporary and redundant files from the computer. To do so, follow these steps:

To launch Disk Cleanup, you can
either go to Start menu and type disk cleanup or press Windows and R together
to open Run box and type cleanmgr.

The Disk Cleanup tool will remove
downloaded program files, temporary internet files, Offline web pages, Recycle
bin etc.

Once the tool will come up, it
would prompt to select the drive you want to clean. By default, C is selected.

Press OK.
●
Now Disk Cleanup will calculate
the space that could be freed up with this action.

You will be provided with the
option to remove files from your system to free up space. Select Temporary
Internet Files, Temporary files (Temp), Thumbnails, Downloaded Program Files,
Offline web pages.

Press OK. It will prompt if you
are sure to delete all your files permanently. Click Delete files to confirm
the action.
- Uninstall Unwanted Applications:
We intentionally or unintentionally install
applications that are not important and often uses the system resources and
occupy hard disk. To uninstall applications, follow these steps:
● Go to Start menu.
●
Locate and click Control Panel.
● Now look for Uninstall A Program.
Note: You can open Uninstall a program
window - press Windows and R key together and type appwiz.cpl.
● You will get a list of programs installed on the system.
●
Search for the unwanted programs.
●
Make a right click on the unwanted
program and select Uninstall.
● Once the program would be removed, you would be notified.
Note:
Don’t uninstall programs whose publisher is Microsoft
and your Laptop or PC’s company
- Find
and Remove Duplicate Files:
You can clean up disk space
by finding and removing the duplicate files. Sometimes you copy files more than
once, just to make sure, you have it on your system. In this way, you end up
having multiple copies of a file. Removing these files manually sounds
impractical and dull, so it is better to get a software to remove duplicate
